070310 - Bangkok, Thailand

This is my 3rd time to Bangkok. My first was a impromptu - a so called "birthday present" from a special friend of mine who wanted to show me a part of his world... 2nd visit was a test for myself to set off by myself to a foreign country, and to fight for what I want - which created a WOW!in my life..and the 3rd...intention was not clear...

Wanted to get off job, whisked myself to some other place...just for a few days...not to pricey..as i have not recovered from Dubai trip expenses aftermath..Since my friend will be in Bangkok - its been half a year since I met him and also Kob live in Bangkok...So i bought my tickets and...there I was...

I always thought when you are down...you go someplace new..You don't know anyone..and you are seeing new things will cheer you up... It doesn't work that way...it gets worst and depressing, when you do not know the language..even on the cab, you are afraid that the taxi driver might just sell me off and i wont even recognise the road...

My first visit to a Guy Bar (Jupiter) and a Girl bar (Soi Cowboy), being molested by a masseur (Sickening), and being frustrated with myself...low on confidence...negativity...

The trip was not as fruitful as I planned it to be..unexpected things propped out..and I came back with a sore heart...However..it was a sign to let go and move on..and I m trying...

*Lessons I learnt..*

#1 - Is there is only one chance in life..not often you will get a second..so value it..It hurts when you think back and say I should have this, I should have that..Live no regrets and treasure by moment..Dont complain that there is no time...Use the time that you have to create something memorable and dont waste time getting frustrated over people and yourself.

#2 - Believe in yourself..Be yourself..Be confident..The person should like and cherish as you are..if they are not then too bad..

#3 - Do not cry over somebody who doesnt care about you..not worth it...You have your heartbroken and they might not even know it...even if they knew..they dont care..so whats the point?

Sad that sometimes life experience and lessons have to presented in such a painful way..

Easy to say..hard to be done...well..Life is as such..you'll never stop learning...

Well, not to worry..had some good things that happen too...like..San Miguel taste good...ENjoyed MOS burger - the "tako yaki"burger recommended by Kob was really really nice...Belle park was a comfortable and beautiful as ever..read 2 Paulo Coelho's book on this trip..Watched Hello! My Lady(Korean) in thai and...saw a cutey who looked like Hong Kong star - Ron Ng..and exchanged glances..keke..*an shuang*

Cheers to happy moments...and more to come..Carpe Diem~

210110 - Dubai, UAE

Dubai trip was exciting for me as it is - 1. my first visit to the UAE. 2. I'm travelling with my beloved brother and my best friend & my pretty cousin! 3. We will be visiting my aunt! 3. My best friend's 1st birthday abroad...21st of January finally came...Long anticipated...I can't believe that I had packed my stuff at the very last minute...It is so not me...the meticulous and organized person...but with my new job...time was something i running out of..My first lesson...do not assume!

We were at the waiting hall awaiting to board and we were bored...just to pass some time..we observed people surrounding us...and there were a Russian family in front of us, which i didn't know they were Russian..we are guessing their nationality (just for fun), I said (in Mandarin) speculating, and so did my friend..and suddenly the guy was holding high his passport..I managed to peek and say..I think its Russian..and he turned..spoke to me in MANDARIN..."You could have just asked me..I m from Russia.."-with a smirk on his face!Oopss..*embarrassing*

The flight was not a comfortable one though...well the price speaks for it - we got it cheap..Our Mission declared on the plane...to have the MAX fun and take LOADS of photos - which we accomplished!

We reached Abu Dhabi late in the night / early in the morning. My lovely aunt drove all the way there to pick us..(So sweet - thank you!) It was a 1 hour drive and we finally reach her apartment situated above Burjuman Mall. Her apartment was so beautiful!as fabulous as a 10 star hotel...(you should check out the pics on my FB)

Next morning - we had mini pancakes for breakfast...yum yum..and we had an itinerary planned for us, our 1st destination. Atlantis hotel. Beautifully decorated...I've always wanted to visit the Atlantis in Bahamas..It was just unbelievable I was in Atlantis - in Dubai...We had our first meal in a Turkish Cuisine Restaurant - Kosebasi on the Jumeirah Palm Walk...The turkish bread, homous - my fav! and the Baba Ghanouj was commendable. We walked around..it was sunny however breezy and was enjoyable...We went to the Ibn Battuta Mall next (for my aunt to pick up the Surprise Birthday Cake) whilst the rest of us walked around...and guest what I spend 300 Dirhams in a blink of an eye...on a set of Paula Coelho Collection!*Pang*It was worth it though~ ;0)We went to pick my cousin and her colleague at the exhibition - she could not join our trip as she had to proceed with her company arrangements for business - so happen - Dubai on the same dates! So we were able to catch after working hours..We proceeded to Bakers & Spice right opposite the current WORLD TALLEST BUILDING - the Burj Khalifa a.k.a Burj Dubai...Massive. Food in Dubai through experience..its EXPENSIVE..am not sure the places I went are high end or all of them are expensive, even with MYR100 = 100 Dirhams...Lucky we had some Buy 1 Free 1 Vouchers which my aunt had..It was truly a Surprise Birthday Dinner when we were Warmly welcomed by the Musical Fountain! i Gasped in amusement, it was so beautiful!(I had a thing for musical fountains) it came in every 20 minute intervals with Arabic Music...Romantic place for Marriage Proposal - Guys...haha...

Day 2 - We went to the creek and had lunch at Zaina's with My Uncle and the Nasi and the Chicken was tasty...We finally manage to treat my Aunt and Uncle..as she refuses to let us pay for anything..We went for a walk on the beach on the other side..i call it..as Dubai has 2 faces - which split into halves - Tall buildings and Low buildings areas..The beach was so inviting..but we were not dressed for the occasions..We went there just to kill sometime and pick my cousin and go mall hopping afterwards...We went to the Mall of Emirates - the Ski Dubai was amazing like the ones I see in Korean films..and there was a Juicy Couture roadshow going on...there was this hot magician - Phillipe from Chile - Guapo Hombre!show us some of his tricks..We went to the Dubai Mall next..Dubai biggest mall..and to Madinat Jumeirah for dinner at "The Left Bank" Dinner by the river bank..it was a place which will make your heart melt..I wonder Dubai has so many romantic diners..unexpected..We also saw Burj Al Arab - 7 star hotel..lighted in the dark.

Day 3 - the beach was irresistible..and here we go...the Sun was shinning high..yet the breeze were so cool and the water was icy...what a nice combination..till noon..heavy hearted we had to leave as we were going to the Dessert at 2pm..Mr Hamdan our driver came to pick us and off we go on our Dessert Safari...The dessert was so beautiful..It was also my first time..The dessert sand felt like cold powder...brushing over my feet..and the wind was so strong..cool breeze...with sunset...Our 4 wheeler went up and down the sand dunes like a roller coaster..I forgot to mentioned we had an Italian pasta hearty meal before we started our journey..as a result..my friend puked..haha!Lucky it didnt spoil her journey as she was able to recover real quick..Back to the sand dunes, we took lots of pictures..it was really beautiful! Finally we reach the campsite..there was camel riding, sand boarding - which was wrecked, Shisha, Henna drawing, AND...Arabian Dressing...Finally i got to try on a full set of Abaya with Niqab...My eyes do look pretty..with make-up of course..hehe..I had 2 Mat Salleh requested totake pictures with me *honoured* they were so tall and i was standing in the middle..we looked like twin towers..haha..later had dinner buffet and there was belly-dancing performance..The best activity and I totally enjoyed my Dessert Safari!

Day 4 - Last day. We went up Burj Khalifa had a glimpse of the Dubai panoramic view. We had our Lunch at Al Hallab - The Best Restaurant on my trip. The food was unforgettable..left me drooling, even now..the Homous, the arabic bread...the baba ganoush...was fabulous! A place not to miss! If I ever step into Dubai again..I will DEFINITELY revisit AL Hallab! Before we left Dubai for our flight in Abu Dhabi, we went to pcik up some souvenirs from a warehouse souvenir shop..it was interesting..they sell all sorts of stuff ranging from south Africa to Egypt to china..and you had to be good in bargain..and I had to talk Shah Rukh Khan with the staff..as they were from India..made friends with them to make a good deal! I bought a cool camel with nice Cargo..*Influenced by my My cousin's priority in choosing the right camel!*Dubai made a mark in my heart. The trip was truely enjoyable..

Will I go there again..?maybe..insyaallah..However, it is not really my scene or my choice of place to live in, it is nice and very enjoyable for me..because of the company I had..My aunt, My brother, My Friend, My Cousin, Her Colleague, My Uncle...we had lots of fun and laughter...There was what matters most and made a huge difference, or any place would be the same....It was something that struck me at the end of the trip...No matter where you are..it is the company that matters not so much of the place...Thank you all for creating an incredible and wonderful memory with me...I came back with *Dubai Sick* (imitation of Home Sick)...ha ha...for a few days and craving for Arabic food...Looking forward to my next adventure...
